The stations participated in the following recruitment initiatives during the period covered by this report…
-Sound Communications LLC’s Operation Manager hosted an intern from Elmira College from March 2018 until May 2018 for a total of 80 hours of production experience.
- Sound Communications LLC’s Operations Manager participated in an Internship program for a Corning Painted Post High School student. The student worked in the departments of On-air and Programing.
- Sound Communications LLC’s Production Director participated in a “Job Shadowing” program for a college student in March 2018.
- Sound Communications LLC’s Account Executives and On-Air Talent participated in a “Job Shadowing” program with a student from Watkins Glen High School “New Visions” class from April 10, 2018 until April 13,2018
- Sound Communications LLC’s General Manager, Sales Manager and Operations Manager participated in the 2017 Regional Job Fair at Corning Community College, 1 Academic Dr. Corning on April 12, 2018.
- Sound Communications LLC’s Account Executive participated in the Job/Internship Fair at JCC on May 1, 2018.
- Sound Communications LLC broadcast live and had On-Air Talent and the Director of Sales at the CSS Workforce NY Job Fair on August 9, 2018.
- Sound Communications LLC’s Operations Manager participated in a tour for the “Ukraine Media Partnership.”
- Sound Communications LLC promoted the Corning Area Job Fair held on October 6, 2018.
-Sound Communications LLC’s Production Manager and Operations Manager participated in a tour and shadowing program for “Pathways” on November 26, 2018 & December 10, 2018
- Sound Communications LLC sponsored a Job Fair at our radio station in Hornell on January 9, 2019. The General Manager and Sale Assistant oversaw the event.
- Sound Communications LLC sponsored a Job Fair at our radio stations in Olean on January 10, 2019. The General Manager, Station Manager, and Business Manager oversaw the event.
Additional Information:
All applications remain on file for at least one year. Applicants are instructed to contact the General Manager at least once every three months for an update of available jobs.
